The annual programme
Technical seminars and expert lectures
Single-session talks by invited speakers from academia, research laboratories and industry, held at the Centre or hosted by a member institution.
Short-term courses and workshops
Multi-day, hands-on programmes on tools and methods in current professional use — embedded design, signal processing, communication systems, data and machine-learning methods.
Students’ Forum programmes
Inter-collegiate technical events, project contests, industrial visits and skill sessions organised through the Centre’s student forums.
Conferences and symposia
Larger meetings, including the CHENCON series, bringing researchers and practitioners together around a theme.
Foundation Day and awards
IETE Foundation Day on 2 November each year, with nominations for the Institution’s national awards and Centre-level recognition.
Industry interaction
Practitioner panels, industrial visits and project guidance connecting members with working engineering practice in and around Chennai.
